Last Year’s Annual Fundraising Appeal Raised Over $40K

With the prospect of the move to a new location on the horizon, the RSCC community supported the College’s annual appeal with more than $40,000 in donations.

James Brian’s Passing and his Bequest to the College

James Brian (photo above) who had been carrying the leadership of RSCC for six years, passed away early this year (2025). James left the College a bequest of $25,000. This generous gift was received in October.

Teacher Education Students Clowning with Catherine Bryden

During the spring term, RSCC’s Waldorf Teacher Education students enjoyed a block of clowning studies with Catherine Bryden. Catherine returned in July to teach a week of clowning at our Summer Festival of Arts and Education.

Goodbye to Diana Hughes as RSCC Board Member

Diana Hughes speaking at her “retirement” party a few years ago. In addition to being a founding teacher of the Toronto Waldorf School, Diana was co-founder, and for many years, Executive Director and Director of Waldorf Teacher Education at RSCT, which is now RSCC. Diana continues to play an important role in RSCC’s Foundation Studies in Anthroposophy Encounter program in Thornhill.

New Biodynamic Farming Diploma Program Director, Tilo Crass

In June, RSCC was pleased to welcome Tilo Crass on board as the new Director of our Biodynamic Farming Diploma program. Tilo is a seasoned biodynamic farmer, educator, and consultant with over 25 years of hands-on experience. He is the founder of Bear River Farms in Nova Scotia and CEO of Bear Consulting Limited.

Anthroposophical Society in Canada Conference
